Recent social media videos shared by the U.S. President Donald Trump’s campaign and the White House have omitted certain Taylor Swift songs that were previously featured. These videos had utilized two of the popular American singer’s tracks in the past week.
Both the White House and a representative for Taylor Swift have not yet responded to requests for comments on this matter.
Although Taylor Swift has not directly addressed President Trump recently, she publicly endorsed his Democratic opponent, then-Vice President Kamala Harris, in 2024. During the 2020 election, Swift made her stance clear by stating on social media that Trump was not wanted as president.
President Trump, on the other hand, has been vocal with his criticism of Taylor Swift. Following her endorsement of Harris, he expressed his dislike for Swift on social media. In a post last year, Trump remarked that since he stated his dislike for Swift, she had lost popularity.
Several other artists, such as Sabrina Carpenter and Ariana Grande, have also urged the Trump administration to refrain from using their music in any promotional content.
TikTok Videos Incorporate Well-Known Taylor Swift Songs
Over the past week, the Trump campaign featured two Taylor Swift songs on its TikTok page. One video, inspired by Swift’s lyrics, included a caption referencing her famous songs like “Red (Donald Trump’s Version).”
Back in June, a video shared by Trump’s campaign on TikTok showcased Swift’s new track titled “I Knew It, I Knew You” from her album “Toy Story 5.” The video portrayed President Trump engaging with children at the White House, dancing at a UFC match, and participating in a rally, with a caption stating his love for the country and its people.
This marked the third instance where the Trump administration or campaign had featured Taylor Swift’s songs in their content in recent times.

The video was captioned with the lyrics “Do you really want to know where I was on April 29th?”
Additionally, a TikTok video released in November by the White House included Swift’s song “The Fate of Ophelia” from her album “The Life of a Showgirl,” which had been launched the previous month. This video showcased various images related to the U.S., monuments, and multiple photos of President Trump, including a mock mugshot from 2023.
