Motorola Challenges Samsung with New Edge 70 Max Smartphone Offering Unbeatable Battery and Charging Speeds
While Samsung continues to lead in global Android sales, Motorola is making a significant push with its latest release, the Motorola Edge 70 Max. This new smartphone boasts two standout features that even Samsung’s top-of-the-line Galaxy models currently lack – an impressive battery capacity and lightning-fast charging capability.
Inside the Motorola Edge 70 Max lies a massive 7,100mAh silicon-carbon battery, designed to prolong activities like streaming, gaming, and scrolling between charges. Unlike the conventional lithium-ion batteries in Samsung and other devices, the silicon-carbon technology used in this phone stores more energy in the same space, extending the device’s lifespan without adding extra bulk or weight.
When the battery eventually runs low, Motorola has an ace up its sleeve. The Edge 70 Max supports 90W TurboPower charging, ensuring rapid recharging when plugged into a power source. Motorola claims that just six minutes of charging with this technology can provide enough power to last a day, surpassing Samsung’s current maximum of 60W wired charging.
The exceptional battery performance of the Edge 70 Max has already earned it the prestigious Gold Label for battery life and charging from experts at DXOMARK.
Beyond its battery prowess, Motorola has packed the phone with numerous flagship features. The device boasts a sharp 6.82-inch Quad HD+ (2K) display and is powered by Qualcomm’s latest Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 processor, capable of handling demanding games and AI functionalities. Additionally, a large vapour chamber cooling system ensures that the phone maintains optimal temperatures during intensive usage.
Photography enthusiasts will appreciate the AI-powered camera system in the Edge 70 Max, led by a 50MP Sony LYTIA 710 sensor, complemented by an 8MP ultra-wide camera and a dedicated macro lens for close-up shots.
Other notable features of the phone include an aircraft-grade aluminium frame, Dolby Atmos stereo speakers, water resistance, and a premium design available in Pantone Aqua Gray, Pantone Dark Shadow, and Pantone Ice Melt.
Wilkin Lee, Head of Marketing UK & Ireland at Motorola, stated, “Great technology should look beautiful, perform brilliantly, and fit effortlessly into everyday life. With immersive visuals, powerful performance, all-day battery life, and the responsiveness gamers demand, the Edge 70 Max delivers a premium entertainment experience without compromise.”
The Motorola Edge 70 Max is now available for purchase in the UK at a price of £699.99.
