Investors Sue Selena Gomez for Fraudulent Acts

Singer and actress Selena Gomez is facing a lawsuit from investors who allege she engaged in fraudulent activities by not fulfilling her obligations to develop and promote her mental health startup. The investors invested around $1.2 million in Wondermind Global, a company launched in 2021 with a mission to enhance users’ mental fitness.

According to the lawsuit filed in federal court in Delaware, investors were promised that Gomez, a prominent figure in social media with over 500 million followers, would actively participate in the company’s growth as the head of marketing. However, the plaintiffs claim that Gomez and other company executives failed to honor their commitments, such as delivering a mobile app as promised.

The lawsuit states, “Gomez purportedly agreed to a contract to perform but failed to follow through.” The investors argue that the company did not have a viable business plan and failed to meet even the most basic obligations, such as timely payment of employees and vendors.

A spokesperson for Gomez has not yet responded to requests for comment. The lawsuit reveals that the investors were unaware of the company’s challenges until a news story surfaced online in September 2025, outlining the issues. The plaintiffs are seeking to recover their investments along with legal expenses.
