Three teenagers and a taxi driver lost their lives in a tragic head-on collision in Bolton. The teenagers, identified as Mohammed Jibrael Mukhtar, Farhan Patel, and Muhammad Danyaal Asghar Ali, along with the taxi driver, Masrob Ali, were involved in the fatal accident on Wigan Road early on Sunday. Funeral services were held for the teenagers at Zakariyya Jaam’e Masjid in Bolton, where friends and family mourned their untimely deaths.
Masrob Ali, remembered as a devoted father of four, will be laid to rest in Blackburn. His family expressed their grief over the loss of a kind and caring individual who had worked as a taxi driver for many years. Despite concerns about his late-night shifts, Masrob Ali was regarded as a safe driver by his family.
The tragic incident left five passengers from both vehicles hospitalized for injuries. Among them, a woman in the Citroën suffered life-threatening injuries, while others sustained various degrees of harm. Detective Inspector Andrew Page of the GMP’s Serious Collision Investigation Unit emphasized the ongoing investigation into the incident and urged caution in sharing sensitive information on social media to respect the privacy and emotions of those affected. Witnesses with relevant information were encouraged to come forward to assist in the investigation.
