Heartbreaking Warnings Ignored: Fatal Crash Tragedy

Following a tragic head-on collision in Bolton, a heartbroken sibling of one of the victims revealed that he had previously warned his brother to drive more cautiously after an earlier accident.

The fatal crash involved a Seat Leon, driven by Mohammed Jibrael Mukhtar, and a Citroen C4 Picasso taxi, resulting in the deaths of Mukhtar, his friends Farhan Patel and Mohammed Danyaal, and the taxi driver, Masrob Ali.

Screenshots of the last conversation between Mukhtar and his older brother Miraj were shared on TikTok, where Miraj had cautioned Mukhtar to be more careful on the road, emphasizing the risks of high-speed driving. The exchange highlighted concerns about Mukhtar’s driving habits, especially after he had previously flipped his car in an accident.

Described as someone who enjoyed driving at excessive speeds, Mukhtar, who also worked as a mechanic, often showcased his modified car on social media with videos displaying its customized features.

Authorities investigating the incident are reviewing footage of another vehicle speeding at over 120 mph on a busy street, potentially linked to the crash. The video shows reckless driving actions, including overtaking and driving on the wrong side of the road.

Family and friends mourned the loss of the victims at a funeral held at the central mosque in Bolton, with tributes pouring in on various social media platforms.

In memory of Mohammed Danyaal, his friends initiated a fundraising campaign to honor his life by supporting those in need, reflecting on his positive impact.

Several passengers from both vehicles involved in the crash are undergoing treatment in the hospital, including a woman with severe injuries.

Detective Inspector Andrew Page from GMP’s Serious Collision Investigation Unit emphasized the ongoing investigation into the tragedy and urged the public to refrain from sharing sensitive footage on social media out of respect for the families affected.

He encouraged anyone with information or footage related to the crash to cooperate with the authorities to assist in determining the sequence of events leading to the fatal collision.
