A young adult who had been reported missing after leaving a nightclub has been discovered deceased. Connor Calleja, a 20-year-old student at Lincoln University, was last spotted on CCTV walking near University Bridge in Lincoln during the early hours of Sunday. He was turned away from the nightclub Home and was making his way back to his residence, according to his stepfather, John Lewis.
In a recent development, Lincolnshire Police announced that a body was located during a search of the Foss bank, a body of water close to The Brayford Pool. Although formal identification is pending, authorities believe the body to be that of Connor. The police spokesperson stated, “His family has been notified and is receiving support from trained personnel. No foul play is suspected. We urge the public and media to respect the family’s privacy during this challenging period.”
Additionally, the police expressed gratitude to those who shared the appeal and provided information. The University of Lincoln and Lincoln Students’ Union had previously pledged to offer assistance to students impacted by Connor’s disappearance.
