Leavitt will transition into the role of an external communications advisor and party strategist, contributing to shaping the future direction of Trump’s “Make America Great Again” movement, as confirmed by both Leavitt and Trump in their respective statements. In a recent social media update, the 28-year-old Leavitt expressed her intention to dedicate more time to her young children, particularly after welcoming her second child, a daughter, in May and returning from maternity leave.
Trump praised Leavitt’s leadership within the White House, highlighting her efforts in advocating for justice, liberty, and freedom since 2018, including her significant contributions to the Historic Re-Election Campaign of 2024. Describing her as one of the most outstanding White House Press Secretaries in history, Trump commended Leavitt for her service.
Reflecting on her time at the White House, Leavitt described it as “the honor and adventure of a lifetime.” She initially joined Trump’s 2024 campaign and later served as a transition spokesperson before assuming the role of White House press secretary, becoming the youngest individual to hold this position. Trump has not yet disclosed any plans regarding Leavitt’s successor in this prominent role.
Former principal deputy press secretary for Trump, Harrison Fields, praised Leavitt’s unique abilities, emphasizing her fluency in understanding and effectively communicating Trump’s message to the media.
