Tesco is offering hundreds of free Christmas trees for a limited time. These trees, considered “wonky” due to imperfections like uneven branches or a slight lean, will be available at select stores on Saturday, December 6. Tesco encourages recipients to donate to food charities Fareshare and Trussell.
The free Christmas trees will be distributed at specific locations on a first-come, first-served basis starting at 10am. Each household is eligible for only one tree. In comparison, other retailers sell Christmas trees starting at £13.99.
Tesco’s UK CEO, Ashwin Prasad, emphasized the joy of embracing imperfect Christmas moments, noting that these unique trees can bring charm to any home. A recent Tesco survey revealed that many Brits find imperfect moments make the festive season special.
In addition to the tree giveaway, Tesco is offering Clubcard members double points for every £1 spent on gift cards throughout December. This promotion extends to all third-party gift cards purchased at Tesco stores. Clubcard members can earn points through various Tesco purchases, with 150 points being the minimum for a £1.50 voucher to spend in-store.
