“Teen Trio on Trial for Seaside Resort Murder”

A trial at Woolwich Crown Court revealed shocking details of a violent incident at a seaside resort involving a teenage girl and two boys. The girl, aged 16, along with the two boys aged 15 and 16, are facing charges for the murder of Alexander Cashford, 49, in Leysdown-on-Sea, Kent. The court heard that the trio allegedly lured Mr. Cashford to the beach under a false name after exchanging numerous messages with him leading up to the fatal encounter.

According to prosecutors, the teenagers were seen near the promenade on the evening of the incident. Mr. Cashford met the 16-year-old girl at the seafront, accompanied by the two boys. During a walk along the promenade, the girl picked up a glass bottle which was later used in the attack. A video recovered from the 16-year-old boy’s phone reportedly shows the girl filming the attack while shouting derogatory remarks towards Mr. Cashford.

The court was shown footage of the incident where the girl can be heard shouting abusive language before the boys allegedly attacked Mr. Cashford. The violent encounter resulted in Mr. Cashford falling to the ground. Further evidence presented in court included the boy sending the footage of the attack to others with inappropriate comments before his arrest.

Witness testimonies and forensic evidence were also presented during the trial, linking the teenagers to the crime scene and the violent assault. The court heard details of the communications between Mr. Cashford and the girl leading up to the tragic event, shedding light on the sequence of events that unfolded that day.

The prosecution outlined the injuries sustained by Mr. Cashford during the attack, including abrasions, swelling, bruises, and fractures. Despite the severity of the injuries, the teenagers have denied the charges of murder. The trial is ongoing with more evidence expected to be presented as the case progresses.
