American Horror Story actor Evan Peters has returned to television in a new thriller created by Ryan Murphy. The 39-year-old actor takes on the role of FBI Agent Cooper Madsen in the fresh body horror series titled The Beauty. Adapted from a comic book series by Jeremy Haun and Jason A. Hurley, the show follows federal agents as they investigate the mysterious deaths of supermodels.
Their investigation reveals a sexually transmitted virus that transforms individuals into their most attractive versions, albeit with disastrous outcomes. Agent Cooper finds himself in conflict with a tech billionaire who has developed a controversial drug named The Beauty, determined to protect its market presence.
Evan Peters stars alongside Rebecca Hall, who plays his colleague and romantic interest Jordan Bennett. The storyline unfolds in both the US and Europe, with Cooper and Jordan traveling to France and Italy for their inquiries.
In the first three episodes available for streaming on Disney+, viewers witness Peters effortlessly switching between English and foreign languages. Despite English being his primary language, Peters impressively converses in French and Italian throughout the initial episodes of The Beauty.
Teasing fans before the series premiere, Peters’ co-star Anthony Ramos humorously mentioned that the actor demonstrates fluency in numerous languages within the show. With extensive dialogue in Italian already showcased, Peters may exhibit more linguistic prowess in the upcoming episodes.
Having dedicated time to learning European languages for this role, it is likely that Peters has acquired proficiency but may not be fully fluent in Italian or French.
