Cove UK, the owner of numerous holiday parks in the UK, has entered administration. This affects a total of 11 sites, including those managed by Argyll Holidays, which Cove UK acquired for £100 million in 2022. Among the impacted holiday parks are Solway Holiday Park, Gwel an Mor Resort, and Springwood Holiday Park. Administrators are currently exploring options for selling the business and have informed owners through letters.
For individuals with upcoming bookings at these resorts, administrators suggest reaching out to the site manager for further guidance. The resorts involved in the administration process include Seal Bay Resort in West Sussex, which remains unaffected and operational. Alvarez & Marsal Europe has been appointed to oversee the administration of Cove Communities Holiday Park UK Holdco Limited (HPUK) and its subsidiaries.
In a statement, Alvarez & Marsal Europe emphasized the priority of ensuring a seamless transition and operational stability across the parks. They reassured owners, residents, and holidaymakers that operations will continue with minimal disruption, encouraging them to contact site managers with any inquiries.
A spokesperson from Cove UK confirmed the appointment of administrators for Cove Communities Holiday Park HoldCo Limited and its subsidiaries, impacting several holiday parks in the UK. They highlighted that Seal Bay, the largest resort under the Cove UK umbrella, is not part of the administration and is operating normally for guests and owners. The focus remains on customer service and executing long-term strategies, with gratitude expressed for the ongoing support from employees, owners, and customers.
