Coronation Street veteran Jack P Shepherd has received a wave of good wishes after his wife, Hanni, provided an update on their life. Since his debut on the ITV soap at the age of 12, Jack has played the role of David Platt, the mischievous son of Martin Platt and Gail, portrayed by Sean Wilson and Helen Worth, respectively, since the year 2000.
Throughout the years, David has been at the center of various intense storylines, from endangering his mother’s life by pushing her down the stairs to a poignant suicide narrative. In recent Corrie episodes, David faced a severe crash during a crossover with Emmerdale, leading to the premature birth of his daughter who now requires critical surgery. Away from the hustle of the show, Jack enjoys a peaceful life with his beloved wife, Hanni Treweek.
The couple exchanged vows in a beautiful ceremony in Manchester last summer, surrounded by close family and friends. This followed Jack’s romantic proposal to Hanni during a memorable safari holiday a year earlier. Celebrating his 38th birthday on January 14, Hanni took to Instagram to share a heartfelt tribute to her husband, posting a striking black and white photo from their wedding day.
Accompanying the post, she wrote, “Happy birthday, baby! I love you, today, tomorrow, always @jackshepherd,” which Jack promptly reshared with his 519,000 followers. In another Instagram post, Jack appeared alongside Ben Price, who plays Nick Tilsley, and former co-star Colson Smith, marking his special day.
In a short video clip, the trio, after finishing their podcast recording, realized it was Jack’s birthday.
