A manhunt is currently in progress for a suspected killer who is believed to have fatally shot three individuals, including his pregnant former partner. Authorities in New South Wales, Australia, are actively seeking Julian Ingram, also known as Pierpoint, aged 37, in connection with the alleged triple homicide in Lake Cargelligo on Thursday, January 22.
It has been revealed that Ingram had been released on bail for charges related to domestic violence before the tragic incident. The victims have been identified as Sophie Quinn, 24, and John Harris, 32, who were shot while driving a vehicle on Bokhara Street in Lake Cargelligo.
Following the initial shooting, Ingram reportedly proceeded to a residence in the town where he shot Sophie’s aunt, Nerida Quinn, 50, and inflicted serious injuries on Kaled Macqueen, 19, on the property’s driveway.
Ingram, who had a history of alleged assault against Quinn, was previously charged with offenses including stalking and common assault. Despite pleading not guilty, he was due to appear in court on February 3.
Law enforcement authorities have confirmed that Ingram had a domestic relationship with one of the victims and emphasized that he did not possess a valid gun license. Efforts to locate Ingram are ongoing, with a description of him provided as having an Aboriginal/Torres Strait Islander appearance, standing approximately 165cm-170cm tall, medium build, with short dark hair and brown eyes.
The suspect was last seen driving a Ford Ranger utility with NSW registration DM-07-GZ, described as having distinct features such as council signage, a metal tray back, high visibility markings on the side, and an emergency light bar on the roof.
Following the tragic event, a significant police presence has been established in Lake Cargelligo, with over 100 officers actively searching for the suspect. Residents have been advised to remain indoors, avoid windows, and report any suspicious activities to the authorities.
Assistant Commissioner Andy Holland of the NSW Police has expressed the community’s profound sorrow over the incident and urged vigilance among residents.
