A significant update has emerged following the theft of a school therapy dog from a teacher’s residence.
Numerous students were left distressed when the cherished pet named Mabel was taken. Emma Butler promptly reported the incident to the authorities, and a social media campaign was launched to aid in the return of the Puli breed dog.
Mabel was snatched from her home last Thursday, prompting a search effort utilizing drones. Fortunately, she was sighted in a park just three days later.
Emma, who serves as an assistant head at Tenyham CofE Primary School in Teynham, near Sittingbourne, Kent, expressed joy at being reunited with Mabel after she was located at a veterinary clinic. The dog, originally rescued from Hungary, was discovered at Darenth Country Park in Dartford, approximately 30 miles away.
Emma, 49, expressed gratitude to everyone who helped spread the word, emphasizing Mabel’s importance in their lives and her role as a beloved therapy dog at the school.
Kent Police confirmed receiving a report regarding the theft of the dog and are actively investigating the matter.
