“Boris Becker Faces Prison, Rebuilds Life in Italy”

After concealing £2.5m in assets and loans to avoid repaying debts, Boris Becker, the renowned German tennis star and former Wimbledon champion, faced a significant blow to his reputation. He was sentenced to two-and-a-half years in prison. Becker, aged 58, spent eight months at HMP Wandsworth, located merely three kilometers from Wimbledon. In December 2022, he was released, deported to Germany, and barred from entering the United Kingdom for ten years. Talks with the Home Office continue in an attempt to shorten this ban.

Currently residing in Italy with his partner, Becker is striving to rebuild his life post a tumultuous downfall, as reported by Mirror Sport. Previously living in the UK since 2012, Becker had to relocate to Milan, Italy, following his deportation, now accompanied by his 34-year-old wife, Lilian de Carvalho Monteiro.

Becker and his wife recently celebrated the birth of their first child, Zoe Vittoria, born in November 2025. With five children from four different mothers, Becker has opened up about how his time in prison strengthened his bond with his daughter, Anna. He shared his experiences with Germany’s Stern magazine, emphasizing the importance of family unity during challenging times.

Expressing his views on settling in Milan, Becker highlighted his connection to the city through past victories and personal ties. Reflecting on a missed opportunity to coach Jannik Sinner, Becker acknowledged his evolving priorities, including family commitments and new business ventures. Despite his challenging prison experience, Becker remains optimistic about his future prospects and potential return to the UK.

Warner Bros. Discovery Sports recently announced Becker’s involvement in Eurosport Germany’s coverage of the Australian Open, marking a new chapter in his professional endeavors. As the 2026 Australian Open kicks off in Melbourne, fans can tune in to the action live on TNT Sports via Prime Video’s TNT Sports channel.
