“Man on FBI’s Most Wanted List Captured in Mexico for Decade-Long Murder Case”

A man who had been eluding capture for nearly a decade after allegedly killing a young woman has been apprehended and charged. Alejandro Rosales Castillo, who had been on the FBI’s Ten Most Wanted list since 2017, was finally caught in Mexico and is facing charges of first-degree murder for the death of his former co-worker, Truc Quan ‘Sandy’ Ly Le.

Authorities confirmed on Friday that the 27-year-old suspect was taken into custody in Mexico City. He is currently held in a Mexico City prison awaiting extradition to North Carolina for his upcoming court appearance. It is alleged that Castillo owed Le $1,000 and had arranged to meet her at a gas station to repay the debt. However, Le disappeared, and her car was later found at a bus station in Arizona.

Instead of repaying the debt, Castillo reportedly forced Le to withdraw money from an ATM before shooting her in a wooded area. Her body was discovered in a ravine days later. Surveillance footage showed Castillo crossing the border into Mexico the day before the discovery of Le’s body.

FBI Director Kash Patel hailed the arrest as a significant breakthrough in the case that has been ongoing since 2016. He praised the collaborative efforts of law enforcement agencies in capturing Castillo, ensuring justice for Le’s family. North Carolina Representative Pat Harrigan also commended the arrest, emphasizing the persistence of law enforcement in bringing the suspect to justice after nearly nine years.

Castillo’s arrest comes in connection with two other suspects charged in Le’s murder. Ahmia Feaster, Castillo’s girlfriend at the time, was charged with accessory after the fact and felony larceny of a motor vehicle. Felipe Ulloa was also charged with accessory after the fact of murder related to Le’s death in 2017.
