Apple has unveiled the iPhone 17e, offering significant enhancements at an affordable price of £599. The new device boasts a speedy A19 processor, MagSafe charging, a durable design, and an impressive single-lens camera. In comparison to the flagship iPhone, the 17e comes at a £200 discount.
Samsung has also introduced budget-friendly options with the launch of the A57 and A37 models, starting at just £399. While these phones may not match the performance and charging capabilities of the iPhone 17e, they do feature a 6.7-inch display with 120Hz technology. In contrast, the 17e only offers a 60Hz display, affecting its smoothness during tasks like web browsing, email navigation, and gaming.
The Galaxy phones come equipped with notable features such as large 5,000mAh batteries, triple lens cameras, and P68 water and dust resistance. Samsung’s latest devices prioritize AI integration, offering features like Google’s Circle to Search for quick web searches and advanced photo editing tools such as Object Eraser, Best Face, and Edit Suggestions.
Furthermore, Samsung has enhanced the Voice Transcription capability within the Voice Recorder app, enabling users to transcribe or translate call recordings and convert voicemail messages into text. The company has committed to providing extended support for the Galaxy A57 5G and A37 5G, promising up to six generations of Android OS and One UI updates, along with six years of security patches.
Both models will be available for purchase on Samsung.com starting April 10th. The Galaxy A57 5G will be priced from £529 for the 256GB variant, while the Galaxy A37 5G will start at £399 for the 128GB version. The A57 5G will be offered in colors like Awesome Navy, Awesome Grey, Awesome Icyblue, and Awesome Lilac, while the A37 5G will come in shades like Awesome Lavender, Awesome Charcoal, Awesome Greygreen, and Awesome White.
Annika Bizon, VP of Product and Marketing at Samsung Mobile Experience Division, emphasized the importance of making AI accessible to a wider audience while showcasing the practical benefits of AI through the Galaxy A57 5G and A37 5G models.
