This new service automatically monitors broadband performance, prioritizing help for users facing speed or connectivity issues. Users will receive real-time recommendations to resolve any identified problems promptly, aiming to prevent disruptions during activities like streaming or remote work.
Additionally, Smart Support allows Virgin Media to conduct remote fixes overnight, minimizing disruptions for customers by updating or repairing services while they sleep. In cases where issues persist, the service can assess if a WiFi Pod or Hub upgrade is necessary for better whole-home coverage. Customers can also request an engineer at no extra charge for more serious issues.
Gareth Lister, Director of Connectivity at Virgin Media O2, emphasized the importance of reliable connectivity and fast service. He stated that Smart Support, combined with the company’s high-speed offerings and strong reliability, ensures customers remain connected when it matters most.
