A woman dubbed the UK’s “poshest thief” has been found guilty of stealing £12,000 worth of alcohol from Sainsbury’s. Despite a previous theft incident, the woman, identified as Pauline Al Said, managed to avoid jail time once again. Al Said first gained notoriety in 2024 for stealing over £1,000 in goods, including cookware, wine, gin, and steaks from various stores. Alongside her husband, they were fined £2,500 for these crimes. In her recent spree, she stole nearly £12,000 worth of products, such as high-end vodka, gin, prosecco, and wine over a nine-month period to support a drug addiction. To conceal her thefts, she used Disney dresses and dressing gowns to cover the expensive items in her shopping cart. Despite the significant value of her thefts, Al Said received an 18-month suspended prison sentence and was ordered to repay Sainsbury’s £1,800. Additionally, she is banned from entering the supermarket during her sentence. The judge acknowledged her intelligence and expressed hope that she would use her capabilities positively in the future. Al Said, now going by the name Pauline Tusien, has started a website offering life and career mentoring services.
