“Tragic Details Unveiled in Champion Horse Rider’s Death”

An investigation into the death of a woman who was discovered hanged shortly after sharing photos with her husband from a hot tub on their anniversary has unveiled tragic new details about her passing.

Abigail Garside, a 30-year-old champion horse rider, was found dead in Harrogate, North Yorkshire, during her wedding anniversary weekend. Earlier on August 17, she had been celebrating the special occasion with her husband, Samuel Garside.

Despite posting affectionate pictures online to mark the event, it was revealed during the investigation that Mrs. Garside had left the couple’s hotel room after an argument and went missing overnight.

According to Northallerton Coroner’s Court, the couple, hailing from Blackburn, Lancashire, had a seemingly positive celebration based on their social media updates. However, the evening took a turn as they continued to consume alcohol and cocaine, leading to a dispute at a local bar before returning to their hotel.

Following an argument where Mrs. Garside accused her husband of not supporting her, she left the hotel room during the early hours of the morning. Her husband, Mr. Garside, recounted the events to authorities, mentioning his attempts to locate her after realizing she had left her phone behind.

Tragically, Mrs. Garside was found deceased by a member of the public. The investigation also revealed that the couple had plans to move to Australia before the untimely death of Mrs. Garside.

The coroner issued a narrative verdict, highlighting the potential influence of alcohol and cocaine on Mrs. Garside’s actions. The verdict emphasized that her behavior leading to her death appeared out of character and expressed that without the influence of substances, she likely would not have taken her own life.
