Sky TV customers are in for a treat with a new free upgrade that includes access to the Disney+ subscription service. This benefit is part of the updated Sky Ultimate plan, offering a £5.99 value at no extra cost. Subscribers can now enjoy a range of content from Pixar, Star Wars, Disney, and Marvel.
The revamped package doesn’t stop at Disney+; it will soon introduce HBO Max Basic and Hayu. Integration across Sky Glass, Sky Stream, and Sky Q platforms ensures a seamless viewing experience, with Disney+ content integrated into features like Continue Watching and voice control.
Sky Cinema subscribers will also have access to a new Disney+ Cinema channel. For those not yet with Sky, the Sky Ultimate package is available for all UK homes starting at £24 per month. This plan includes Netflix Standard with Ads, Disney+ Standard with Ads, HBO Max Basic with Ads (launching soon), Hayu (full access from July), and over 130 Sky channels.
Sophia Ahmad, Sky’s Chief Consumer Officer, emphasized the update’s goal of providing a unified viewing experience by bringing together Sky, Netflix, Disney+, HBO Max, and Hayu under one subscription. Existing customers will receive the expanded lineup at no extra cost, and NOW Entertainment users will get HBO Max within the app without additional charges.
Sky’s efforts to simplify streaming and enhance the viewing experience continue with these changes, aiming to offer a more cohesive streaming service to its customers.
