“Sky Announces Channel Lineup Overhaul: Sky One Returns, Sky Showcase & Sky Max to Close”

Sky recently disclosed alterations to its TV channel lineup, with imminent changes including the return of a beloved service and the closure of two platforms. Sky Showcase and Sky Max will halt content broadcast starting from Tuesday, February 24, leaving subscribers in anticipation. However, to replace these channels, Sky has confirmed the revival of Sky One, set to launch promptly and offer a diverse range of comedy and entertainment programs. The lineup will feature new shows like The Dyers’ Caravan Park and Gemma Collins: Four Weddings and a Baby, alongside familiar favorites such as Rob & Romesh Vs., The Paper, and Ted.

Moreover, Sky One will become the home of Saturday Night Live UK, expected to debut later this year. Carli Kerr, MD of Sky TV & NOW, expressed enthusiasm for the channel’s return, emphasizing the seamless access to beloved shows. Sky One, slated to go live on channel 106 on Tuesday, February 24, also comes with the announcement of a new plan called Ultimate TV, priced at £24 per month. This package will grant customers access to Disney+, Netflix, Hayu, and the upcoming HBO Max app. Subscribers to Ultimate TV will receive over 130 premium channels, including Sky Comedy, Sky Documentaries, and Sky Crime, among others. Additionally, Sky Cinema users will benefit from a dedicated Disney movie channel integrated into the TV guide, allowing for convenient viewing of Hollywood hits without navigating the Disney+ app.

The £24 plan encompasses various streaming services like Netflix, Disney+, HBO Max, and Hayu, in addition to the extensive channel lineup from Sky.
