Hamilton and Leclerc Stand with Ferrari Amid Racing Challenges

Lewis Hamilton and Charles Leclerc have recently expressed their solidarity with Ferrari engineers and fans on Instagram. This gesture follows a directive from chairman John Elkann urging them to concentrate on their driving and minimize public statements.

In a mixed weekend for Ferrari in motorsport, the team achieved success at the World Endurance Championship finale in Bahrain, securing both the Drivers’ and Constructors’ Championships with the No. 50 car driven by Alessandro Pier Guidi, James Calado, and Antonio Giovinazzi. However, the Brazilian Grand Prix turned sour for the team. Hamilton’s race was cut short after a collision with Franco Colapinto’s Alpine damaged his SF-25, leading to his retirement. Leclerc also faced disappointment when he got involved in an incident with Oscar Piastri and Kimi Antonelli, ending his race prematurely.

The double retirement at the Brazilian Grand Prix has dropped Ferrari to fourth place in the World Championship standings, trailing Mercedes by 26 points and Red Bull by four. Elkann expressed frustration over the team’s performance, highlighting the importance of unity and focusing on driving rather than excessive talk.

Both Hamilton and Leclerc responded indirectly to Elkann’s comments. Hamilton shared a message on Instagram thanking fans for their support despite the setback, emphasizing his determination to persevere. Leclerc also acknowledged the challenges faced by the team in a critical juncture of the season, stressing the need for unity to overcome the tough situation in the remaining races.
