“Glitches Disrupt Viewing on ITVX App for Sky Customers”

Some Sky customers have encountered a frustrating issue with the popular ITVX app. Reports of glitches disrupting viewing experiences started surfacing last week. Users have expressed annoyance over episodes suddenly skipping to the end without any manual input, interrupting their viewing midway.

On Sky’s forum page, a user named Dazzasky shared their experience, stating that ITV Player has been randomly fast-forwarding to the end of episodes for the past few days. Another user, Dawn, also reported similar problems, mentioning episodes jumping to the end randomly, often at the start of a program or after an ad break.

The technical hiccups seem to primarily impact users with Sky’s online devices like Sky Stream boxes and Glass TVs. While it remains unclear if Sky Q users are also affected, most complaints are from those using broadband-connected devices rather than satellite dishes.

Although the cause of the issue is unknown, a Sky representative named Kev has acknowledged the problem and assured users that they are actively working on a solution in collaboration with ITV. Kev’s message on the forum indicated that the support teams are investigating the matter, and updates will be provided as progress is made.

While a fix is pending, users may have to tolerate the skipping problem. However, efforts are underway to resolve the issue. Mirror Online will continue to monitor the situation and provide updates as more information becomes available.
