A tragic road accident has resulted in the death of four individuals and left five others injured following a major collision during the early hours of the morning.
Disturbing pictures from the location depicted the aftermath of the incident that wrecked two vehicles on a serene residential street. The collision, believed to involve a car and a taxi, occurred around 12:45 am in Deane, Bolton. The front of a Citroen C4 Picasso sustained severe damage, with distressing images showing the vehicle’s bodywork crushed and its right doors torn off.
The Citroen collided with a red Seat Leon, causing damage to the latter’s bumper and right side. Images from the scene captured a significant presence of law enforcement and emergency responders, with the road section cordoned off.
According to Greater Manchester Police, two 18-year-old men and a 19-year-old man lost their lives in the Seat car. Additionally, the driver of the Citroen, a man in his 50s, also tragically passed away.
A police spokesperson stated, “Five injured passengers have been hospitalized for treatment. The investigation is ongoing, and a police presence remains at the scene.”
Authorities are appealing for information from anyone who may have witnessed the events leading up to the collision, the incident itself, or possesses dashcam or CCTV footage related to the accident.
