Dell has reversed its decision made a year ago to discontinue the XPS brand following criticism from both technology experts and consumers. The company acknowledged its mistake and announced the comeback of the XPS lineup, promising an enhanced experience. The revitalized Windows 11 laptops feature a fresh design with premium materials like aluminum and Gorilla Glass 3 for durability and elegance.
The new XPS models boast a redesigned keyboard for improved stability and a seamless glass touchpad. Dell has focused on enhancing portability by reducing weight and thickness, making the XPS 14 and XPS 16 the thinnest laptops in Dell’s lineup at 14.6mm. The laptops also come equipped with a reengineered 4K webcam for a sleek profile.
Performance has been upgraded with Intel’s latest Ultra processors, ensuring faster speeds, better graphics, and increased efficiency. The thermal system has been redesigned to manage temperatures effectively even during demanding tasks. Intel Arc graphics with 12 cores offer a 50% performance boost over the previous generation.
Battery life is a standout feature, with high-density 900ED cells providing up to 27 hours of usage on a single charge. The laptops also feature edge-to-edge touch displays, powerful Dolby Atmos speakers, and a variety of ports for connectivity. During the CES 2026 event, Dell emphasized the premium quality of the new XPS laptops, highlighting their design, performance, displays, and long-lasting battery in a compact form factor designed for mobility.
