“Comedy royalty Alan Carr to trade home for castle on Disney+”

Alan Carr has expressed his desire to relocate to a castle in a different part of the UK following his victory on Celebrity Traitors. He aims to escape the memories of his previous home shared with his ex-husband. The quest for his dream castle, complete with turrets, will be chronicled in an upcoming series on Disney+.

In an interview with Mirror, Alan Carr shared his excitement about the move, stating, “I’m getting myself a castle. I fancied a change – I’m selling up and going up there.” He emphasized that the decision is entirely his own following his divorce four years ago and his readiness to embrace a new chapter as a single individual.

The TV personality disclosed his plans to visit Scotland to explore potential castle options, highlighting his eagerness for the change. Despite rumors linking him and Amanda Holden to roles on Strictly Come Dancing, Alan firmly rejected the idea, citing their busy schedules and lack of passion for the show’s format.

Alan, who recently triumphed on Celebrity Traitors, expressed his contentment with his career trajectory and ruled out the possibility of joining the Strictly Come Dancing presenting team. Instead, he emphasized his upcoming projects, including hosting the new series Secret Genius on Channel 4 alongside Susie Dent.

Reflecting on his past marriage and subsequent split, Alan Carr revealed his intention to move away from his current residence near Horsham, West Sussex. His experience on Celebrity Traitors in the Scottish Highlands left a lasting impact, prompting his decision to seek a castle-like dwelling as he approaches his 50th birthday.

The upcoming TV series, tentatively titled Castle Man, will document Alan’s journey to find and adapt to his new regal abode. Executive producer Ben Wicks expressed enthusiasm for the project, highlighting Alan’s transformation from comedy royalty to a castle owner, with Disney’s involvement adding a touch of historical significance to the venture.
