BT has introduced a new method for internet access that goes beyond just linking devices to the web. The latest Smart Hub 3 Wi-Fi router from the company will soon be available in UK households, promising not only enhanced connectivity but also additional security features.
This advanced technology is capable of automatically recognizing harmful websites, giving users a heads-up before potential malware or other online dangers can strike. Moreover, it can identify any suspicious attempts by hackers to breach smart home devices like internet-connected cameras, preemptively blocking any nefarious activity.
Users will have the ability to monitor any detected threats using the Hub Threat Protect feature within the MyBT app. These enhancements are designed to help households bolster their online security and proactively thwart cyberattacks.
In addition to security, the Smart Hub 3 places a strong emphasis on performance. It supports Complete Wi-Fi Plus, which aids in extending signal coverage across the home and eliminating dead zones in weaker signal areas.

It is important to note that this router supports Wi-Fi 6 technology rather than the newer Wi-Fi 7 standard found in some competing devices like those from EE.
