“AppleCare One Simplifies Device Protection for UK Users”

Apple has introduced AppleCare One to the UK, expanding its services to British customers. This subscription, previously launched in the US, offers a simplified and potentially cost-effective solution for protecting multiple Apple devices under a single plan.

Priced at £16.99 per month, AppleCare One covers up to three eligible devices, including iPhones, iPads, Macs, and Apple Watches. In case of accidental damage, loss, or theft, Apple will repair the device or provide up to three replacement devices annually, depending on the nature of the claim.

AppleCare One enhances the existing AppleCare+ by allowing customers to safeguard multiple products with one subscription instead of managing separate plans. This consolidation could result in significant savings, with Apple noting potential monthly savings of up to £11.48 for users covering an iPhone, iPad, and Apple Watch compared to individual AppleCare+ plans.

A key benefit of AppleCare One is its flexibility regarding device age. Eligible products up to four years old can be added to the plan if they are in good condition, surpassing the standard 60-day window for purchasing AppleCare+ after device acquisition.

Apple emphasizes the convenience of AppleCare One, stating that customers can protect existing devices without the need for immediate purchases. Additionally, the plan seamlessly adjusts when upgrading devices, automatically transferring coverage from traded-in devices to new purchases made directly from Apple.

Bob Borchers, Apple’s vice president of Worldwide Product Marketing, highlighted the customer-centric approach behind AppleCare One, emphasizing the simplicity and flexibility it offers. The streamlined service aims to provide peace of mind to UK customers by ensuring all their eligible products can be covered under one plan at a fixed price.
