Two men have tragically lost their lives, and a woman has been hospitalized following a swimming incident in Australia. The emergency response was activated at John Locke Place in Gleniffer, located approximately 530 kilometers north of Sydney, on Sunday, January 25, at 6:45 pm. The individuals, all in their 30s, found themselves in distress while swimming in the Never Never River.
Upon receiving reports of the trio being submerged in the water, New South Wales Ambulance dispatched crews to the scene. The woman was rescued from the water, receiving on-site medical attention before being transported to the hospital in a serious condition. Reports indicate that she is pregnant. Unfortunately, despite efforts to revive them, the men could not be saved and passed away at the site.
The Never Never River is a well-known recreational spot where visitors frequently camp along the riverbank and enjoy swimming activities.
