“Futuristic City Qiddiya: Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030 Gem”

A futuristic city named Qiddiya, located in Saudi Arabia, is currently under construction on desert terrain. This £30 billion project, part of Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030 initiative, aims to diversify the country’s economy by incorporating tourism and entertainment sectors. Qiddiya will span over 360 square kilometers, housing 500,000 residents in 20 distinct neighborhoods, and will offer modern amenities.

Dubbed as “The City of the Future,” Qiddiya will boast a Formula 1 circuit, a stadium designated for the 2034 World Cup, and artificial beaches. Despite construction emissions, the city emphasizes sustainability in its core objectives, as outlined in the 2024 ESG Report. Muhannad Aldawood, the Chief Strategy Officer, emphasized the city’s commitment to environmental stewardship, social impact, and economic resilience.

While still in progress, certain sections of Qiddiya have already opened to the public, including the venue for the Dakar Rally and the $1 billion Six Flags theme park. This theme park, developed by an American company over four years, features Falcon’s Flight, the world’s longest, tallest, and fastest rollercoaster. Six Flags CEO John Reilly expressed pride in the project, stating that Six Flags Qiddiya City will revolutionize entertainment in the region with its cutting-edge attractions and immersive experiences for all ages.
