Blazin’ Squad emerged in August 2002 with their first hit, Crossroads, making a mark in the music scene. The group achieved six top ten singles in the UK and released two top 40 albums before disbanding in 2005.
Their success led to the release of an RnB-inspired album called The Beginning, which produced six more top ten singles. The band enjoyed two gold records and sold-out arena tours, including a headline performance at Wembley.
The ten members, who bonded over their mutual love for music during secondary school, pursued different paths after the group disbanded. Let’s take a closer look at the current endeavors of Kenzie, Strider, Freek, and Rocky B.
Kenzie, a prominent figure in the group, transitioned to television after the split, participating in shows like Celebrity Big Brother and becoming a familiar face on programs such as The Weakest Link and Never Mind the Buzzcocks. He later ventured into personal training and bodybuilding, showcasing his transformation on social media. Kenzie, now a successful DJ, is also a devoted father to two daughters.
Marcel, another group member, found his way onto reality TV, appearing on Love Island and later rejoining the show for an All Stars series. Despite his television appearances, Marcel works behind the scenes, managing music artists and recently tying the knot with Rebecca Vieira, with whom he shares a son.
Ollie initially left the music industry to pursue a career in corporate banking but eventually returned to the music scene as a manager. He also made a brief appearance on Tattoo Fixers and enjoys family life with his daughter Emilia.
Chris explored various careers post-Blazin’ Squad, including a stint as a window fitter before transitioning to a role as a Field Services Engineer at Virgin Media. Stuart, now a manager at the BBC, continues to make occasional appearances with his former bandmates.
Lee expressed interest in pursuing a solo career or acting after the group disbanded but has since maintained a low profile. He is married and shares two children with his wife, Karina. Sam, although stepping back from the spotlight, occasionally performs with former band members and is believed to be working in the import/export industry.
James and Mus, after the group disbanded, formed the successful songwriting and production duo Mojam, collaborating with renowned artists and achieving notable success in the music industry. Both have families and continue to make waves in the music scene.
Tom, opting for a quieter life post-Blazin’ Squad, still remains connected to music through DJing gigs.
