Cruz Beckham, at 20 years old, has kicked off his music journey by announcing a special performance in London with his band, The Breakers. With the help of a team of songwriters, Cruz aims to produce quality music and establish himself as a musician.
Taking to Instagram, Cruz shared a video montage of his stage performances, hinting at a series of upcoming shows in the UK. His caption teased a night of promising music with his band, Cruz Beckham & The Breakers, set for a single show in London, with further details to be revealed soon.
Support poured in from his followers, with his girlfriend Jackie Apostel expressing excitement for his music. Cruz’s musical collaborator, Brazilian-German songwriter Jackie, has played a pivotal role in guiding his songwriting journey. However, his recent release of a double single EP, Optics / Lick The Toad, raised eyebrows due to its explicit content.
Optics, released in October, delves into themes of drugs and intimacy, reflecting Cruz’s personal experiences and relationship with Jackie. On the other hand, Lick The Toad opts for a more nature-inspired approach in its lyrics.
Collaborating with Luke Pritchard of The Kooks, Cruz has performed in various small venues across the UK to mark his musical debut. In a private family and friends gig at the former Laylow venue in Notting Hill, the Beckham family, excluding Brooklyn, showed up to support Cruz and The Breakers.
David Beckham, in a proud moment, shared a clip of Cruz showcasing his talents on stage, expressing love and support for his son’s musical journey. The family’s private gathering aimed to keep the focus on Cruz’s music rather than their celebrity status, creating an intimate and supportive environment for Cruz’s performance.
Cruz’s initial venture into music began in 2016 at the age of 11 with his charity single, If Every Day Was Christmas, which aimed to raise funds for disadvantaged youth in the UK.
