Authorities have apprehended a male suspect in relation to the demise of an elderly female.
The man, aged 75, is currently under detention following the discovery of the 82-year-old woman’s body at a residence on Elm Avenue in Cherry Willingham, Lincolnshire, on Monday afternoon.
Family members of the deceased have been notified. A representative from Lincolnshire Police stated: “Currently, we are treating the death of the woman as suspicious, pending the results of tests and toxicology reports to gain a deeper understanding of the circumstances surrounding her passing. No additional suspects are being sought in connection with the case.”
Law enforcement has established a perimeter around the site while conducting investigations into the incident, which has been logged as case number 313 of 12/01/26. Police presence is expected to be maintained at the location well into the following day.
