Apple has had a hectic week unveiling a range of new products, such as the iPhone 17e, upgraded iPad Air, and new MacBook Pro models featuring the latest M5 processors. The latest addition to their lineup is the MacBook Neo, a laptop that comes with a vibrant design, impressive performance, and a high-resolution 13-inch display, all for just £599.
Compared to the newly announced MacBook Air, the MacBook Neo is priced significantly lower at £500 less. Powered by Apple’s A18 Pro-series smartphone processor, the MacBook Neo may not match the speed of M-powered PCs but is perfectly capable of handling daily digital tasks. Running on macOS, it provides access to popular applications like Microsoft Word, Pages, and iMovie.
With over 15 hours of battery life, the MacBook Neo is highly efficient. It includes two USB-C ports but lacks MagSafe charging. Additionally, it features a 1080p FaceTime HD camera, Touch ID fingerprint scanner, dual side-firing speakers supporting Spatial Audio and Dolby Atmos, a Magic Keyboard, and Multi-Touch trackpad. Available in Silver, Indigo, Blush, and Citrus colors, the MacBook Neo can be pre-ordered now and will hit stores next week.
John Ternus, Apple’s senior vice president of Hardware Engineering, expressed enthusiasm about the MacBook Neo, highlighting its affordability and unique features. He emphasized the laptop’s durable aluminum design, stunning Liquid Retina display, Apple silicon-powered performance, long battery life, high-quality camera and audio components, Magic Keyboard, Multi-Touch trackpad, and the user-friendly macOS interface, stating that there is no other laptop like it.
