Virgin Media leads the UK with an impressive average download speed of 256.5Mbps, enabling users to download a full HD movie in just over two minutes, significantly faster than the national average. Following Virgin Media, Vodafone secures the second position with average download speeds of 175Mbps, while BT (EE) ranks third. TalkTalk lags behind, reporting an average speed of approximately 95Mbps.
The ranking of average download speeds among major UK ISPs is as follows:
